Privatize the ABC ? You have got be joking !

We are so badly educated in this country that neither left nor right knows why it would be wrong to privatize the ABC .
All parties have failed to recognize their addiction to the disease of the century ( Ellul , Whitehead, Huxley) - there proneness to technological fix .

One year we will have business knows best  the next we will have "nature knows best "and Labor will , while the taxes last , pretend that governments do no evil . Note the last one is MOST dangerous as the economy increasingly relies on tax revenue and government funded employment , its very immature , and the lies are deeper .

The ABC, and other media under threat, should be ( and are ) worried because we are not reading the old guard like we used to .We are sourcing things like Newsweekly ,the Spectator, The Outsiders AND the Internet. Its not enough i know - all the more reason to make ABC MORE reliable . 

Change is good-- many ABC limpets may not believe their own "nature knows best " rhetoric but when it comes to them and now, BUT change is necessary to survive. "The Guardian" IMO is no longer guarding - reacting maybe ? 
Probably nothing has done more to make our children overly skeptical than the closet club of paid public servants.Training but not testing in the best way?  Exposure to real professionals -not stars is sorely needed    TV dramas often lack the depth that comes fro exposure/real AUTHORSHIP 

There has never been a better time for outsiders to help in the process of reform . Chestertons /Churchills' great prophetic call to their /our careless friends should be heeded . Corporations can be expected to perform better than mere business models of everything--- . no better point to pay out those unthinking conservatives who think competition knows best .Who dumby proclaim the hell of privatization of wealth 

THose of us who love the independance idea MUST be prepared to say WHERE and WHY .Surely we don't believe the crap that progress is at the end of some self centred self directed review or WORST OF ALL - some gene driven path. 
Relying on Senate hearings is one of Fatima's weak points because philosophy of ( say practical physical science in my case) is all up the big picture thinking creek... and only a few of our puppets get it yet 
We ALL used to believe in precision in decision. Even those who feel their way around are not feeling good -so change is in the air .http://cuttingedgecare.blogspot.com
If you don't see my point,take the ABC's preaching schedules over many years ; alternative lifestyle , health care fixes and water , weather and plastic bag worries and multiply what you now know into yet to be discovered cul de sacs galore . We need real world people reporting ( cf mere dreamers and tech worshipers ) more than ever . There are real risks about ( my work) and addressing them is what will keep the future tied to the ground. Publish a list of good ABC programs.
If you love something you don't just leave it as it is; you want the best for it .you may have to yell or put your response into words .but is silence back the source complicity IYO ?
